Jaron Simonson

Jaron grew up singing everywhere! He recorded with Janice Kapp Perry at a ripe old age of 4! The experience was life altering. He followed that up with a performance in front of 35,000 people at a CES conference at age 8. At Highland High School in Pocatello Jaron was involved in Senior Choir, Trouveres, Senior Quartet, Choir Counsel directed by Terry Hagerman, Jaron was inspired to pursue a BA in Music Education at Idaho State University. While at University Jaron was a member of ISU Chamber Choir and Concert Choir directed by Dr. Scott Anderson. He held the position of Student Director for Concert Choir during his Senior year and was Tenor Section Leader Junior-Senior Year. He had the privilege of performing the lead role of Nanki-Poo in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado at ISU. He has taught private voice lessons for many years and helped as a substitute teacher in Minidoka School district for a couple of years. He loves teaching music theory and Voice. Jaron has had the pleasure of having many roles in productions by MHHF and in other areas all over the USA. His first directorial role was that of Vocal Director in MHHF production of The Music Man and most recently as Musical Director for Disney’s Tarzan at the King Fine Arts Center.
